Convocation + Round One Day 1 and 2
DURING CONVOCATION, POTENTIAL NEW MEMBERS WILL HEAR FROM A GUEST SPEAKER, WATCH A VIDEO ON EACH FRATERNITY, AND HEAR FROM UNIVERSITY FACULTY AND FSL STAFF. IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING CONVOCATION, ROUND ONE WILL BEGIN.
Round One consists of visits to all IFC fraternities OVER TWO DAYS to provide an introduction to fraternity life, including the benefits of membership, as well as the financial, academic, and housing obligations for each fraternity. EACH DAY, YOU WILL VISIT 8 HOUSES. At the end of round one, PNMs will select their top 8 fraternities, and then rank their bottom 8 fraternities.
August 18-19
Attire: Provided PNM T-shirt and shorts (no athletic wear)
Round Two - Day 1 and 2
Round Two consists of extended visits to up to 8 IFC fraternities, 4 per day, designed to provide insight into each fraternity’s philanthropy. This includes potential new members learning about each respective fraternity’s philanthropy, community service, and campus involvement. At the end of round two, PNMs will rank their top 3 fraternities.
August 20-21
Attire: Button-down, slacks, and dress shoes
Round Three
Round Three consists of visits to up to 3 IFC fraternities. These events will provide an insight into the fraternities’ brotherhoods. This includes spending time with chapter members to gain a greater perspective on how each fraternity celebrates its brotherhood. following this round, pnms will rank their top fraternity.
August 22
Attire: Jacket, tie, button-down, slacks, and dress shoes
Bid Day & New Member Education Seminar
During the new member education seminar, PNMs will hear from university leadership on health and safety, student conduct, healthy relationship formation, and mental health awareness. Following the seminar, new members will receive their bid cards. Each bid card will include instructions for its chapter’s bid day ceremonies. Welcome to our Greek community!
